An alchemical compendium can transmute one object into another of equal value, enabling the rapid transformation of cheap raw materials into an incredible fortune by fabricating them into finished goods—adding manufactured value—and then transmuting those into costlier raw materials. This mirrors the basic process of modern economics, but without the need for labour and trade.

Anyone who can cast fabricate and attune to wizard items can perform this. Proficiency with jeweller's tools and the necessary tool set for precious metal work is also required, which can be reasonably obtained using borrowed knowledge.
