Great Book of Nature
Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks No, 45 The Great Book of Nature (The Philosophical & Hermetic Apocalypse)
Touzay Duchanteau was an esotericist from the late 18th century with a profound interest in alchemy. Alongside notable figures such as Cagliostro, le Comte de Saint Germain, Mesmer, and Etteila, he played a role in establishing the reformed Masonic Order Philalethes in 1785. Tragically, Duchanteau sacrificed his life in an extreme alchemical experiment, using his own body as the alchemical vessel. His work, which reflects his diverse approaches to alchemy, includes sections on practical alchemy, an elaborate alchemical allegory, a dictionary of alchemical terms, and a section purportedly translated from an Arabic manuscript. Paul Ferguson's translation has now made this significant work accessible to the English-speaking world.
