Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks No. 38 The Allegory of Palombara
Massimiliano Savelli Palombara (1614-1680), Marquis of Pietraforte, hailed from a long-established Italian aristocratic family. A deeply cultured individual, he entertained prominent intellectuals of his time, including Athanasius Kircher, the astronomer Giovanni Domenico Cassini, Alfonso Borelli, and the notorious Francesco Giuseppe Borri. Palombara had a particular interest in alchemy and created an engaging allegory, which he later presented to Queen Christina of Sweden.
