Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks No. 54
In 1616 the elaborate alchemical allegory 'The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz' was published. This created great interest at the time, and has continued to engage people today, with many analyses and commentaries being published in the 20th century. Many of these try to understand the work within the framework of modern esoterics, not something known of in the early 17th century when the work was created. A partial commentary contemporary with the original was issued in 1619, and Rudd Muschter has here translated this from the German. This book provides us with insight into how the people in the early decades of the 17th century - the Rosicrucian period - actually read and understood the meaning of 'The Chymical Wedding'.
