The Philospher's Head
by Adam McLean
Magnus Opus Hermetic Sourceworks No. 53
In 1543, Agostino Dario from Vicenza created a woodcut for his book, Opus de Anima, in which he sought to distil knowledge of the relationship between the Macrocosm and Microcosm. This woodcut later inspired more complex versions, one of which was famously used by Robert Fludd. In 1637, an English version was issued, and this serves as the basis for this book, allowing readers to examine each section in detail.
