Robert Gordon
Receiving a B.A. (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Melbourne and an M.A. in Museum Studies from University College London, Frater Robert spent his time professionally managing St Pauls Institute, an ethics think tank run by St Pauls Cathedral, followed by working for the Archbishop of Canterbury at Lambeth Palace. He then moved to the Garden Museum, an independent museum devoted to the legacy of John Tradescant and the final resting place of Elias Ashmole.
Since 2009, he has written extensively on the intersection between technology, spirituality and modern society as showcased on his website (futureconscience.com). Previous publications include a science fiction novel (When Winter Calls) released in 2015 and he was the Editor of Companions of Christian Rosenkreutz published by Lewis Masonic in 2020. In the summer of 2022, Lewis Masonic also published his first solo work as a Rosicrucian author entitled 21st Century Rosicrucianism.
Trading the metropolitan surroundings of London for a more quiet and contemplative life, Frater Robert currently resides in Italy with his family where he focuses on spiritual practice and writing while continuing to contribute to a variety of esoteric orders. An aspirant and practitioner of Rosicrucianism for over 20 years, he is an active member of the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia; the Order of the Rose and Cross; and A.E. Waites Fellowship of the Rosy Cross.
