The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz
The Foxcroft translation of the "Chymische Hochzeit Christiani Rosencreutzhe," ("The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz"), with commentaries etc. The "Chymische Hochzeit" was the third of the original manifestos of the "Fraternity of the Rose Cross" which is generally ascribed to Johannes Valentinus Andreae (1586-1654), and has been aptly described by Dame Frances Yate's as "a strange alchemical romance." This edition comprises an Introduction by Adam McLean, a translation of "The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz" (based on the 1690 Foxcroft translation), A Commentary on The Chymical Wedding by Adam McLean, The Chymical Marriage of Christian Rosenkreutz, A Commentary by Gareth Knight, an Appendix: "The Parabola of Hinricus Madathanus Theosophus," and a Bibliography.
This is a limited edition hardcover book, hand-bound in brown faux leather, with black-and-white illustrations. It comprises 128 pages in octavo size. The edition is restricted to 250 copies and is signed by Adam McLean.
